Fall of the Damned v.5, shown at 330 Melrose, Mark Skwarek 2003

The original Fall of the Damned was a 3d animation. As the figures fall they work to keep the composition and dynamic balance.

"Fall of the Damned v1-2" 2005-6, project -- Mark Skwarek -- code- Joseph Hocking -- assisted by Mark Skwarek -- shown at pixelerations v2 -- this is real-time 3D graphics [not video].

In Fall of the Damned v1 a layer of interativety was added to the piece with the video game engine blitz 3d. If a viewer approached the work for closer inspection the figures will slowly begin to reach out to the viewer for help. The effect is subtle due to the slow and fluid nature of the work. Viewers normally do not realize that the work is changing because of their presence until multiple figures are simultaneously reaching out/clawing at the viewer.

In this picture the bottom right falling figure is reacting [reaching out]to the viewer [on the left].
